How much are you paying for your MOT in Solihull?

Summary Background Color: Purple

Once your car reaches its third birthday, you need to get it a birthday present. Not some fluffy dice, or a strawberry air freshener – well, you can if you want – but we mean an MOT! This is a legal requirement, designed to keep us all safe, as MOTs check your vehicle is roadworthy and in good working order. It’s also required annually after your car’s third birthday,

As we all have to have it, you’d think companies would charge us the maximum they can… just like holiday companies do in the school holidays! The Government sets a maximum price for an MOT but companies have the flexibility to charge what they want, up to this upper limit. Most companies charge between £45 and £55, however, there is one local company in Solihull who are doing things differently.

MotorServ UK, based on the Monkspath Business Park in Solihull, only charge £15. And what’s more, if it fails the MOT they won’t charge you the MOT fee. AND if you have the remedial work carried out by them, re-tests are just £10.

How refreshing to find a company that aren’t trying to take everything they can get from us (note to energy companies!!)

There’s no point trying to get away with not having a valid MOT – you’ll be found out! ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) cameras on the roads can tell if a car has a valid MOT, as can the systems that the Police have in their vehicles.

And for only £15, it’s not worth the price you’d have to pay if you got caught – this could be a fine of up to £1000. So see when your MOT is due and book in with Motorserv UK.
