How to treat your Mum this Mother’s Day in Solihull

Summary Background Color: Purple

Our Mums look after us 365 days of the year. So it’s our turn so show them just how much we appreciate them this Mother’s Day in Solihull. It’s not about expensive presents, it’s about giving her your time and your attention, and taking her somewhere you know she’ll like, whether it’s a country walk, a hearty brunch, or a trip to the theatre.

Places you could take her

Fingers crossed the weather’s kind to us this Mother’s Day as it would be a great opportunity to take her out for a stroll and a cuppa, or maybe a Sunday lunch. There are some lovely canal-side walks in Knowle and Lapworth to enjoy, before you stop off at a homely canal-side pub like the Boat in Catherine-de Barnes, the King’s Arms in Knowle, the Wharf Tavern in Hockley Heath or the Navigation or Boot Inn in Lapworth. Just make sure you book as it’s going to be a very busy Sunday!

National Trust properties make a lovely day out to celebrate Mother’s Day in Solihull with their beautiful houses, grounds, and cafes. Packwood House and Baddesley Clinton are both close by and wil be open on 30th March. Baddesley Clinton is a moated manor house with late medieval, Tudor and 20th-century histories while Packwood House features around 150 acres of parkland, wildflower meadows, a lakeside walk, their famous sculpted yews and an 18th-century gentleman’s kitchen garden.
