Summary Background Color: Yellow

Easter is a lovely time of the year – the days are longer, the weather’s warmer, there are 2 Bank Holidays, and it’s time for the Easter Bunny to pay us all a visit! Here are a few ideas of things you can do locally to celebrate Easter in Solihull.

Visit Snow White’s Cottage

Step into a fairy-tale adventure at Snow White’s Kindness Cottage, in Touchwood, between 12 – and 27 April. Children will have the opportunity to meet with Snow White and her woodland friends while taking part in a variety of interactive activities – they can craft friendship bracelets, take part in the Kindness trail to explore acts of kindness, and create artwork to be displayed on the Blossom Tree Art Display. Spaces for Snow White’s cottage are limited so you’ll need to book your place on the Touchwood website.

Spring Spectacular at Hatton Country World

There’s a whole host of exciting adventures for all the family at Hatton Country World this Easter, from 12 – 27 April, including Easter egg hunts, magic shows, a sheep Grand National, and tractor safaris. There’s also opportunities to see lots of baby animals, falconry displays, and even handle some of the animals.

Easter Adventures with the National Trust

Packwood House and Baddesley Clinton have activities for all the family between 14 and 21 April. As well as enjoying the beautiful grounds, tucking into delights in the café, the kids can pick up their Easter egg and have their activity sheet stamped. Entry is the normal admission price plus £3.50 which includes an Easter Adventure activity sheet, bunny ears and a choice of either a chocolate egg or a vegan and ‘free from’ chocolate egg (while stocks last).

See the baby animals at Becketts Farm

Visit Becketts Farm for craft activities, sunflower planting, and to meet their playful goats and their kids, calves, ewes and newborn lambs. No need to book and entry is £3 per person and under 1’s are free.

All Active Camps

Maybe you have work commitments, or perhaps your kids have loads of energy that needs to be burnt off – in which case you might want to consider All Active Camps at Eversfield School in Solihull. They operate for 3 weeks over the Easter holidays, excluding Good Friday and Easter Monday. This Ofsted registered holiday camp offers multi-activity camps, opportunities to swim, and art & craft sessions.

80’s Night – Easter Sunday

If you’ve stuffed your face with chocolate and need to burn it off why not head to the Regency Hotel in Shirley for an epic 80’s night featuring Guest DJ Ian Rogers who’ll be spinning all your favourite hits from the era of big hair, neon lights, and legendary tunes!

However you choose to spend your Easter, whether it’s relaxing, planning Easter egg hunts at home, entertaining the kids, we hope you have an egg-cellent time!
