Restaurant review: Giggling Squid, Knowle
It was a rainy Monday. We needed cheering up so decided we’d treat ourselves to a meal out at the weekend… only problem is, where to go. I fancied Chinese, my partner wanted a curry – so we decided to compromise… on Thai! We booked the new(ish) Giggling Squid in Knowle, as we’d heard good things about it, plus it let us try out The Dry Spy over the road too.

Important announcement for Chocoholics!
If you’re a true chocoholic you’ll know what a special day 28 October is…. National Chocolate Day! And while that mean you might be tempted to indulge in this sweet treat all day long, it’s probably not the best idea! Some people try to convince us that chocolate is actually good for us – it’s believed to contain high levels of antioxidants which may help to protect our cells from damage. Some studies have also suggested that chocolate could lower cholesterol, but it’s important to remember it does contain a high number of calories and so if you’re watching your weight, you’ll only want to eat it in moderation.
